I wanted to share how I accessorize my computer desktop. The kids posed for me as I was taking down my setup the last time I photographed my mom’s Havanese puppies. How thoughtful of them. They made it easy to pick just one picture for my July desktop.

By the way, I snagged this free desktop here. All I had to do was pop my picture behind it, size it down, and voila. 3 pretty faces to look at all month:)
Here’s another cute picture of my sweet posers.

Speaking of accessorizing, don’t you think this reptile just really works with the brown in Logan’s shirt? I truly had no idea he had such an eye for fashion.

A few weeks ago, I photographed the wedding vow renewal of my good friend and fellow photo corps member. As a gift to her and her husband, the photo corps all chipped in and I designed an album to commemorate the special day. It was my first album design, and the closest I have come to shooting a wedding (but a whole lot easier than a wedding, I imagine). Anyway, we presented it to her yesterday, so I can now share a few images of the album.

I was just playing here. These shots were totally unplanned. I had just photographed a wedding album I created, using the white foamboard as a backdrop (which she is sitting on in these images) and she started playing with the pink feather boa I had used the day before to entice playfulness out of some bengal kittens. I thought she looked cute and she asked for some pictures. I think they came out really cute! I played with some Pioneer Woman actions on these.
I couldn’t decide if I like color or black and white better here.

Uhhh, I think we’re done now *quietly puts camera away*.

4 year olds can be so opinionated!

These stunning Bengal kittens are 9 weeks old, and full of personality! We played for hours. Every single one of them was sacked out when they left:)
They are owned by Jim and Robin Molleur of Mesa Katz.

I just wanted to give a shout out to the place that makes the best cakes in Albuquerque. Some of you may remember my birthday cake that Jason got for me, to match my birthday present- my new D700:)
My niece just had her 12th birthday, and her funky stylish cake also came from Say It With Cake. It was delish too!

I just love the little fluffballs!!!
Can you tell I was using a yummy treat to try to get them to stay put? Grant was holding cheese up and this little piggie was begging for some. Ridiculously cute.

I always love our weekends out at the Wade Ranch. When you think of a ranch, you think horses and cattle, right? Well, let me tell you, it is so much more than that!
Not just young, but grown-ups, too. (Please note blurred out friend is beautiful but would not want to appear in photos, blurring done out of respect for friend’s photo neurosis;))

It’s about getting back in the saddle. Yeah Max!!!

Stopping for a drink. (What’s that saying about leading a horse to water…?)

Sneaking a quick ride with daddy in the middle of a cattle drive.

My young, small daughter actually rode several miles on dusty bumpy roads on top of this horse trailer, while I nervously snapped pictures of her from the back seat of the truck. What memories for these kids!

Speed. On a horse. (See more of Zach’s pictures in the next post.)

I love this beautiful, dusty slice of heaven!

*some images have been removed due to graphic nature. Sorry if I offended anyone.
